Slept on, Aging like wine, Future Classic!
by CT6 Daily Driver | on 2/12/2025 10:45:33 PM
I would consider this cars success in North America largely a marketing failure. Most buyers were still hesitant to spend money on a Cadillac after the Northstar reliability scandal, and the declining quality the brand experienced in the early 2000's. What most people don't understand is that the CT6 was designed and engineered to be it's own vehicle. It's not a rebadge from another GM family member like we are used to seeing with the GMC Yukon/Chevrolet Tahoe/Cadillac Escalade, and it's not just parts from the GM parts bin. They really thought about making this vehicle and it shows! The twin turbo 6cyl models with AWD have plenty of power and handle incredibly well year round. Features like night vision, front and rear cameras make maneuverability a breeze. The Platinum trims are where most Cadillac or luxury buyers will feel at home. Excellent fit and finish and use of materials in the cabin. They could have done without the 3.6 and 4cyl here and the lower trims. The car is aging well, the tech and features feel comparable to what are available today even being almost ten years old.…

Why did they stop!!!

The styling is superb. The handling is amazing. The 3.0TT engine holds up against any luxury vehicle. The technology that this car has outperforms most 2024 model cars.
My ONLY negative is the transmission has what cadi owners call a "shutter", when cold. The trans will hesitate, then engages. It only happens occasionally when it is cold. It is more annoying and embarrassing.…
